Karlyn Holman Student Scholarships | 2023 General Information
Introduction
The Chequamegon Bay Arts Council is pleased to announce the availability of college scholarships. The purpose of these scholarships is to acknowledge the past accomplishment and future promise of high school graduates who will enter a field of study leading to a career in the arts.
CBAC would like to thank the Van Evra Foundation for the past years of financial support for our high school scholarship program.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a high school senior graduating in spring 2023.
- Reside and attend high school in Ashland or Bayfield County.
- Plan to enroll in a higher education course of study leading to a career in visual, literary, or performing arts.
- Submit all materials described in the application form.
Amount and Terms of Acceptance
Although subject to change based on the quality and quantity of applications, the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council intends to award scholarships to two students from an Ashland or Bayfield County high school.
Each scholarship will have a value of $2,000 and will be disbursed as a personal check once CBAC receives the W9 form completed in full required by the IRS.
This form will be sent to the winners prior to receiving the check.
Due Date for Applications

Announcement Date
Recipients will be notified by May 13, 2023. CBAC will contact high schools to present the award at pre-graduation award ceremonies.
