The Chequamegon Bay Arts Council (CBAC) announces its fifth annual artistic development grant. The purpose of this grant is to promote ongoing learning and to encourage area residents to further their artists abilities for reasons of personal growth and enhanced community artistic excellence.

In support of this goal, $1,500 in grant funds is available for artists to strengthen their abilities through short term continuing education.

 

Eligible Applicants
Any professional, amateur or student artist residing in Ashland or Bayfield counties is eligible to apply.


Expenses Eligible for funding
Short-term courses pertaining to an artistic field of interest of the applicant are eligible. Short term would be defined as fewer than 15 class sessions. Workshops and art/music camps are also eligible. Awarded funds may not be applied to college tuition for regular classes where the applicant is attending. Short-term courses offered by a college are eligible. Well-defined individual research projects of an artistic nature are also eligible. Awarded funds may cover course registration fees, materials, and travel.

individual benefit
educational merit
short and long term benefits
community benefit
financial need demonstrated by applicant

Number of grants awarded will be determined after applications are received. $1,500 of total funding is available.
